Our Story: How We Got Here
Business Time Entertainment is the product of our journey as a married couple. Mandy and I had always performed in separate groups over the years and we wanted an opportunity to perform together, which is what we love to do the most. That is a huge part of why we fell in love.
We were also inspired on our wedding day by our wedding band. It was in that moment at our own reception that we decided to not just create a band to perform together, but to create a band that would redefine what it means to have music at your reception.
Luckily we both had over 10 years of experience in the wedding industry and relocated to one of the most dynamic wedding destinations in the world: southern California. Soon we were performing at amazing events every weekend, earning over 80+ five-star ratings, and traveling the world in the pursuit of music in under two years.We believe this was all possible because of our vision to create a total experience for our clients: not just music, but a full story that encapsulates their unique journey through music.

Tim Lillis
Tim has performed around the world with artists like Britney Spears, Engelbert Humperdinck, comedy legend Todd Glass, and the renowned vocal group The Platters. He has performed in 20+ countries in some of the most prominent venues worldwide, often to crowds of over 20,000. After graduating from the Berklee College of Music, Tim produced a show with his wife Mandy which was performed in several countries throughout Europe and Asia. The couple has since released two albums which quickly garnered over 100,000 streams on Spotify.

Mandy Dickson- Lillis
Mandy has performed in over 25 countries all over the world. She has been a soloist with the Singapore Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, Taiwan’s Evergreen Orchestra, The Orchestra Japan, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, and more. On stage, she has voiced many Disney characters, including Elsa, Rapunzel, Snow White, Ariel, Cinderella, and more. She has performed in the acclaimed concert tours Disney on Classic and Disney World Beat! (of which she is also Vocal Director) throughout Asia. She also releases music on digital platforms. Emilio Tello
Growing up hearing his father singing and playing, Emilio was raised in a household that encouraged his musical pursuits. He is an avid lover of all styles of music. While earning his bachelor's degree from CSULB, he studied classical and jazz styles, but played blues and pop gigs on the weekends. Since graduating, he has been working as a full-time studio and live musician in all of these genres. He loves creating good times through music, and is known to play better the more that people dance. When not playing music, Emilio loves to hike, travel, and spend time with his loved ones.
Eric Kalver
Eric is a drummer, arranger, and composer originally from Rhode Island. He has played with the likes of Wayne Brady, Billy Porter, Roger Bart, Lea Thompson, and comedian Todd Glass on his Netflix comedy special. After attending Berklee College of Music with Tim Lillis, he moved to Los Angeles in 2009. Over the past decade, Eric has been performing all across Southern California with various bands, musical theater productions, and comedians. He is also a published arranger and has written music for television such as “The Talk” on CBS. He had a former life as a magician until he watched the movie “That Thing You Do”, and started playing drums at age 11. Besides music, Eric is also a 6x marathon runner and a lifelong fan of Star Wars, superheroes, and comedy.
Brian Duke Song
Brian can simply be described as "Business in the front, party in the back." He passionately strives to be the best of both worlds. He owns 20+ blazers but is usually caught by the paparazzi wearing his Adidas tracksuits, living up to his guiding principles. His basses are also worth more than his car. That is how much he loves doing this.
Lawrence Pi
Lawrence studied Jazz at California State University, Long Beach. He has toured globally with The Family Crest. He also performs in the world renowned Disneyland Band.
Andrea Massey
Andrea is a freelance trombonist in the LA area. Andrea spent 6 years at sea playing trombone on cruise ships for Royal Caribbean (where she met Tim and Mandy!), Celebrity, Norwegian, and Cunard Cruise Lines. She studied trombone at Azusa Pacific University and recently completed her master's degree in music at the University of Redlands. She loves playing big band, dixieland, and classical music, and of course all the great tunes she gets to play with Business Time Entertainment!
Ian Holmquist
Ian is a freelance musician, educator and arranger. He plays trumpet in the world renowned Disneyland Band.
